I have been fishing and flyfishing for 40 years, with a cane rod to start with under the instructions of my Dad, who has been my best mentor. Years after years of practice took me through various methods of fishing, such as bait fishing on the alpine streams throughout Europe, spinning with memorable memories in Asian countries, flyfishing throughout the world, surf casting and game fishing on the Coast of Australia and New Zealand. I have participated in numerous tournaments most of them being flyfishing.

My flyfishing destinations at that time were all of the North Island’s rivers and more precisely around the Taupo region, Rotorua and the East Coast. I met wonderful people that gave me the desire to fish more and more and to become a flyfishing guide. I have since moved down to the South Island where we have two properties located in North Canterbury - Hanmer Springs and also the magnificent West Coast, in Seddonville.

What has been my hobby for so long became my profession when I first started as a flyfishing guide in the Buller Region where I have been guiding for many years, by flyfishing on the most beautiful rivers of the anglers paradise that is the South Island of New Zealand. My knowledge of the West Coast, the area I fly-fish (extending from Hanmer Springs through to Lewis Pass), the countryside and the flora and fauna make your fishing trip a complete experience that we will tailor for you according to your requirements.
